How many converts have you made?

Because I own all the DVDs I've managed to turn quite a few people by letting them borrow my DVDs. Half of my church is now obsessed and they call me 'Keeper of the historical records' (galaxy quest joke) Sometimes it makes me feel like a drug dealer when they come up to me looking sort of desperate, "Did you bring the next season!"

I LOVE Eureka! I only wish that there were more than 13 episodes in a season. I always feels like they're just getting into the swing of things and then its over.

And I totally agree with you, the comedy really balances out the more "serious" science aspect without being too kooky. I love Tagert(sp?) some of the most quotable things are said by him.

I reject your reality and substitute my own! I would probably just ignore it and say that due to editing you don't see the gate get shut down and redialed. =)
This is why I never judge a show by its pilot, things change, poeple change, rules of physics are altered.

I don't think I could pick just one, sort of in the same way that I can't pick a favorite character, because they're all so different and I like them for different reasons. Window of Opportunity is a good funny episode, Lifeboat is good acting episode, Moebius is a good time-travel episode, etc.

Atlantis isn't as difficult a choice as SG-1 but I can't just pick one.

Season 1- Before I Sleep
Season 2- The Long Goodbye
Season 3- The Real World

I also really liked The Storm/The Eye and for some unknown reason I LOVE The Intruder.
Conversion was a good one too.

One episode of Atlantis that I really thought that I would not like was Tao of Rodney. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'll probably watch it if I can work it into my schedule. The concept sounds really interesting although I was getting sick and tired of watching the same commercials for it over and over.

I'm on the fence too.

On some levels it might be interesting just because he still has a lot to learn about how the SG universe works but at the same time he's going to be thinking of what the IOA and Earth want at all times and he's going to have to learn that keeping them happy is not what keeps the program running.

I've been to a Star Trek convention but a Stargate convention has never come to my area.

I'm hoping that next year I can get some friends to go on a road trip to attend Gatecon in Vancouver.

That's something I've thought about as well.

I really love Weir's speech right before they activate the gate, when she offers everyone the chance to leave and everyone looks around at the people around them. Powerful moment.

I myself probably wouldn't go, I would want to but I could never leave my family like that.

I was upset too. I kept saying I wouldn't watch season 4 but I watched every single episode. Like a moth drawn to flame, I knew it would hurt but I kept coming back. To be honest it wasn't that bad. It just wasn't as enjoyable with Weir and Carson not being there. If you have the chance you should definitely catch up.

That is him indeed. He's only in that episode though.
